Os Cursos Gerais visam o ensino da língua de um modo global, desenvolvendo as várias competências linguísticas (de interpretação – ouvir e ler; e de produção – falar e escrever) de modo a que o aluno adquira os níveis de inglês ou português a que se propõe.

Para adultos

Estes cursos são lecionados tanto num contexto individual como em grupo (no qual o número de alunos poderá chegar aos oito) e podem ser iniciados em qualquer altura do ano. Antes de iniciar o seu curso individual ou de integrar qualquer grupo, o aluno irá realizar um teste diagnóstico de modo a saber em que nível se enquadra. De seguida, o aluno escolherá a modalidade ou pacote de horas que pretende adquirir. Finalmente, as aulas serão agendadas segundo a sua disponibilidade, ou do grupo e a do centro.

Para adquirir ou alcançar um nível de inglês, recomenda-se um mínimo de 70h.

Para jovens

Estes cursos são também lecionados tanto num contexto individual como em grupo (no qual o número de alunos poderá chegar aos oito). São, geralmente, iniciados no começo do ano letivo e acabam igualmente, no seu término; têm uma frequência de 2h por semana ou 1h/2 vezes por semana. Antes de começar o seu curso individual ou de integrar qualquer grupo, o aluno irá realizar um teste diagnóstico de modo a saber em que nível se enquadra. De seguida, o aluno escolherá a modalidade ou pacote de horas que pretende adquirir. Finalmente, as aulas serão agendadas segundo a sua disponibilidade, ou do grupo e a do centro.

General Courses                                                                                                    EN

The General Courses are all about teaching the language in a global way, building up the various language skills (interpretation – listening and reading; and production – speaking and writing) so that the student may attain the English or Portuguese level he/she strives for.

For adults

These courses are taught both in an individual and in a group context (in which the maximum number of students is eight) and can be started at any time of the year. Before enrolling in any individual or group course, the students must take a placement test, in order to know their level of English or Portuguese skills. Afterwards, they will choose a lesson pack or how many hours they wish to study. Finally, the lessons will be scheduled according to their availability and the centre’s.

In order to reach a specific level of English, ELC recommends a minimum of 70 hours.

For teenagers

These courses are also taught both in an individual and in a group context (in which the maximum number of students is eight). They usually begin at the start of the academic year and finish by its end. The attendance is two hours a week, twice a week.  Before enrolling in any individual or group course, the students must take a placement test, in order to know their level of English or Portuguese skills. Afterwards, they will choose a lesson pack or how many hours they wish to study. Finally, the lessons will be scheduled according to their availability and the centre’s.
